Matty started match fishing as a teenager, fishing local matches, he then had an opportunity to fish with a team in the ‘Avon valley league’ at just 16 years old. However he had a long break away and came back to fishing in his mid 30’s due to family commitments. Matty has learnt F1 fishing in just 6 months and has proved himself against the Quality, Regular anglers at venues such as Tunnel Barn Farm. He is also no stranger to big carp weights at venues such as Todber manor with multiple weights over 500lb.

Craig started fishing at 9 year’s old on canals and lakes run by cwmbran angling such as ty coch , Llantarnam ponds and the boating lake. 3rd in his first canal match on TY COCH, and section wins on Llantarnam ponds and boating lake.
Craig has fished with clubs and teams which have include talented angler’s and he soon got fast tracked to great results.
Favourite venues consist of redhill, mathern mill, Viaduct, larford and barston just to name a few.
Craig is no stranger to canal and reservoir fishing nor carp and specimen. He thrives from competition commercial fishing as the buzz is like no other.

I started fishing when I was 11 years old with my dad on holiday in Lowestoft. From then on I started match fishing with Wakefield juniors and continued to fish matches with Ossett central WMC.
At the age of 32 I packed in football and dedicated more time to fishing opens, 2016 I made my first final the Maver match this, I’ve since gone onto qualify for the fishomania finals in 2018, 2022, 2023 and 2024. I’ve also qualified for the Fishnorth 2024.
I’m really looking forward to catching plenty of fish with Catchy Baits help.
Johns bait will help me to keep competing at the highest level in qualifiers and finals and who knows maybe even win one of the big finals one day.

Jason started match fishing when he packed up playing football when he was 34. In 2013 he ended up taking a 7 years break away from fishing and has only started back fishing before the covid pandemic. He fishes Lindholme very regular and he also does the winter bomb and feeder league,Autumn festivals and the spring over 50’s festivals. Jason started fishing as a young boy fishing the river Avon and the local grand union canal and fished fished his first match which was organised by the Warwickshire police where he won his section and was gutted he could not fish the final due to family holiday but got the taste of match fishing He started his match fishing with a local club and with success moved onto the open and team match scene on the canals after having some success on them decided then to move to the commercial fishery’s less walking bigger matches and he discovered fishing for carp at venues like heyford fishery barby banks, spring pools, makins fishery again had many match wins and and placing.
He then moved into team fishing at venues like tunnel barn fam with Maver gold and then Browning West Midlands then with family commitments decided to go back to fishing open matches and big money Qualifiers.

Andrew started fishing started fishing Holderness Drain at the age off 11, catching roach and gudgeon later he moved on to the commercial fishing started fishing Lake Minster in Beverley where he caught his first carp a 5lb at the tender age of 15 which at the time he thought was a monster!
Andrew joined his first club in 2018/2019 Wold Angling Club which progressed his fishing. However its been the last two years were hes starting to Frame/section and this year he broke my 100lb barrier due to a lesson from the boss himself John Alexander and multiple times this year he has smashed the 150lb.

Martin started match fishing after joining the Sandwell council passport to angling scheme in 1983, as a junior he went on to local club angling around the Birmingham area Including edgbaston reservoir and surrounding canals Progressed onto river fishing including the twyford farm/evesham opens with steady results
Martin left angling for many years but then came back to the sport. In the last 5 years he noticed the complete change in everything related to fishing. He has been learning and listening and so far he has fished in 12 fishomania qualifiers, 10 Maver match this qualifiers, 5 Golden reel qualifiers. Martin has had many results in the midlands area on the open circuit. His new team of fantastic anglers will hopefully help him progress even further!

I started fishing at the age of 8yrs fishing on ponds & streams around Cranleigh in Surrey, fishing my first match with Shamley Green juniors at 10yrs old. At the age of 14 I was selected to fish for Rudgwick Angling Club A Team in The Three Counties Adult League.
By the age of 17 I got involved with My local club Cranleigh AS and captained our own very successful Team in The Three Counties League until we decided to put a team in The Angling Times Winter League which I became Top Individual over the whole year.
The last 30+ years work and family commitments have kept Me fishing local club matches. Some 15 years ago I met Sharon and although a lover of sport and the outdoors had never tried fishing. Over the last few years I have taught Sharon to fish, firstly just for pleasure then on club matches where she became a regular section & top 3 winner.
Two years ago We started holidaying at Westwood Lakes where we both stepped up onto the open circuit. Sharon has impressed many of the locals especially when she turns out in all weathers all year round.
Sharon’s best match result so far would be the Westwood Ladies Festival 2023 when she won her section on day 1 and came 2nd overall on the day beating a quality field including some of the England Ladies Team.

I started fishing in late 2018 after I stopped racing motocross due to a bad arm & shoulder injury in March 2018.
Started match fishing in 2022 but didn’t get to get out much as i was busy running junior matches, coaching and road shows.
2023 I got on the bank more and then a lot more in 2024 where I managed a good few frames, section and match wins which I was really pleased with.
Looking forward to a busy but enjoyable 2025 with more bank time and hopefully pushing my self forward fishing different venues all over the midlands.

I then spent a good few years away from the bank then in the last few years I have started to fish commercial waters again then 2023 started on the Match scene with some success with match wins and section wins across wales & England. Started fishing with friends in the 70s,graduated into fishing with Connahs Quay club,and got into match fishing,winning several junior matches,slowly moving onto senior and open matches on the River dee and canals.
After a good break when I had to give self employment my all,I got back into the match scene again,this time on the commercials,where I have been able to use my past experience to carve out a good recorder a number of venues.
2024 saw me win over 40 matches,become Welsh over 50s champ,spring and also autumn lingmere league winner,as well as several 3 day festivals. I also got to the final of the dragonmania and dragon of the North final. Hoping that 2025 will be as successful as last year.

I started finishing at the age of 13 with my cousin and my uncle. We used to fish with a telescopic whip for silvers and small tench. I bought my first Pole at the age of 16 and spent most of my weekends pleasure finishing at Moorlands Farm.
I stopped fishing at the age of 18 as life got in the way but 2 years ago I got the bug again and invested in alot of new gear and got back out catching fish again. Started match fishing about 12 months ago just fished open matches and getting experience every week. My partner lives in Hertfordshire so when I visit her I fish the Sunday open at Greensands fishery in Biggleswade.
I’ve had plenty of section wins this last 12 months and 2 second place weights this year already. Looking forward to fish Midlands qualifiers and festivals during the summer.
